Cycling

All of us have probably got stuck in a traffic jam once, or twice, or every single day. Here you sit, preparing to spend another hour moving at the speed of a senile turtle, surrounded by dozens of car headlights. And then you see a happy cyclist, riding effortlessly between massive cars or in a cycle track, getting closer to their destination with every second. You keep looking at them until they vanish from your sight. And then you sigh heavily and keep sitting. And waiting.

Cycling offers tons of benefits for its enjoyers. It provides sustained physical exercise, spares you from the troubles of finding a free parking spot, and gives you more maneuverability in comparison with larger vehicles. Dedicated ecology protectors (and everyone familiar with a bicycle) know that bicycles consume no fossil fuels and thus emit no greenhouse gases. They also reduce noise pollution and traffic congestion. Bicycles are considerably cheaper than cars and motorcycles and bring less harm to the roads. Cycling reduces the risks of heart diseases and diabetes and increases general well-being and vitality.

Bicycles are not without their disadvantages, of course. You won’t be too happy to ride a bike if it’s raining, and you won’t take many passengers with you, if at all. Still, cycling as a means of transportation and a separate sport is a great way to keep fit and move faster.

If you’ve decided to take up cycling, the first thing to buy is, obviously, a bicycle. We do not trade in bicycles, but we can offer you a huge selection of cycling gear to ensure your safety and comfort.

Bike Tires

Tires are the only part of your bike that touches the ground and thus is more vulnerable to damage. A good tire can help you master tough corners and increase your rolling speed. Different surfaces also require different tires, so consider getting a few pairs if you are planning on cycling in a varied area.

Bike Fenders

When nature is assaulting you and your bike from both the sky and the ground, your trip is very unlikely to bring you any joy. Riding in winter or rain is a pretty challenging task itself, and splashes of water and mud only make the situation worse. Luckily, there is a way to make things less terrible by getting winter cycling gear. Bike fenders reduce the amount of water and grime that sprays in your face and all over your bike. It also decreases the chance of dirt trapping in your bicycle’s moving parts, prolonging its service life.

Helmets

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. We don’t imply anything, but head injuries may have dire consequences. It is manageable to live with a broken arm and pretty impossible with a broken skull. To prevent this from happening, we offer you a collection of bike helmets to protect your precious head from harm. Or mitigate it, should anything happen.

Bike Tailgate Pad

If you are a lucky owner of both a car and a bicycle, you will understand the need for a tailgate pad. Driving is more beneficial should you want to cycle in some remote area. Here you can find pickup pads to help you transport your bike using your car.

Here, on Gritr Outdoors, we offer you a wide selection of cycling apparel. Cold weather cycling gear, cycling helmets, bike pedals, and much more to make your cycling experience richer and safer.
