Founded in 1992, Sterling Rope has produced static and dynamic ropes in Maine for climbing, rescue, arbor work, and rope access. Its products are used by rock climbers, arborists, rescue crews, and other professionals.
Sterling Rope has introduced several developments in rope construction, including a 48-carrier static sheath for improved durability and handling and the HTP, the first 100% polyester static rope. The climbing lineup also includes the fully UIAA-certified Velocity 9.8 and the VR Eco 9.6, made with yarn containing recycled tire material.
The catalog also includes arborist lines, prusiks, tag lines, and rescue systems. Sterling Rope maintains ISO 9001 certification. Third-party testing supports product quality and performance.
