O'Neill began as a small effort to help surfers spend more time in the water. Work on gear for the cold surf of Northern California led to the development of neoprene wetsuits. This helped establish O'Neill in the surf industry.
Today, O'Neill offers a wide range of wetsuits and cold-water accessories. The Hyperfreak wetsuit remains a core model in the lineup, built with Technobutter neoprene for a lightweight, flexible fit that doesn't restrict movement. The Hyperfreak Fire Series builds on this design, incorporating TB4 neoprene with graphene-infused recycled yarns for improved heat retention and durability.
Beyond wetsuits, O'Neill produces cold-water accessories designed for cold-water surfing. Wetsuit boots, gloves, and hoods protect the parts of the body that lose heat fastest. Wetsuit vests, jackets, and tops offer additional coverage for warmer conditions or insulation in colder water.
