Awesome BC skis
I've used this exact ski model for years now doing Colorado's "hut system" ski trips. Think backpacking on snow. I've used several other brands of skis and skins. The Fischer Crown pattern is *significantly* better for uphill work than any other I've used. If you're touring flat you may not notice. If you're headed up sustained climbing grades, you will notice. The side cuts and wider tips are just right for enough to float off-track and just enough for *some* control on downhill. These are still not downhill or Tele skis. But they offer way more control than golf-course XC style skis. And the Easy Skin thing is real. It's amazing. I have a set for my older skis and they work 95% of the time for anything I need here in the Rocky Mountains. Only on that rare 5% of the time kind of super steep hill do I have to put on full-length skins. Love how fast the Easy Skins are to off/ on.
