Hawke Sports Optics specifically designed and engineered their 3x32 XB Crossbow Scope and XB MAP reticle for crossbows using bolts traveling at 315 ft/s for optimum accuracy and ease-of-use. The objective is intentionally on the small side to maintain a low-profile, reduce snag points, and keep the weight down. To offset the smaller objective are anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics which maximize light transmission and ensure bright and clear images, and to boost its low-light performance when many game animals are most active - such as at dawn and dusk.

TheXB SR resembles a modified fine duplex reticle, featuring a thin crosshair, a thin vertical bottom post, and four pairs of stacked-up horizontal posts, with extending truncated thin lines. These lines point to brilliant red-green illuminated target circles of decreasing sizes that subtend 2" kill zones at corresponding distances. The post arrangement forms an inverted trapezoid target gate in the middle with aiming points from 20 to 60 yards with 10 yard intervals. The reticle is calibrated for 315 fps speeds and offers 6" and 12" brackets on its 50-yard line.

Capped, finger-operated turrets help guard against accidental adjustments while a high-torque fast-focus ring quickly adapt to rapidly changing conditions. Complementing the performance of the scope is a lightweight and durable anodized aluminum housing, with a 1" one-piece maintube that is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fogproof.
