Holosun’s ACSS Vulcan Reticle Explained
ACSS stands for Advanced Compact Sight System. Holosun partnered with another optics manufacturer to design numerous reticles specialized for real-world, multi-platform shooting.
Holosun’s ACSS Vulcan reticle has two distinct features:
10 MOA Center Chevron
The center of the reticle is a large chevron pointing downwards. In “Vulcan” style, the center chevron allows for quick target acquisition at close ranges, while still retaining enough precision for shooting at distance.
Large Outer Reference Circle
Hovering around the outside of the inner chevron is a large circle measuring 65 MOA. The outer circle can be disabled if desired.
When needed, it provides a point of reference for your shots. When not needed, it keeps from cluttering your sights.
The Vulcan Reticle comes equipped with these two features standard. Together, they allow shooters to have a reticle that’s easy to use at any magnification level and distance – be it 5-yard defensive situations or 100+ yard precision shooting.
