A stiffer, lace-up sibling to our revolutionary Drago, the fine-tuned Chimera features the same handcrafted, rubber-wrapped forefoot, aggressively downturned profile and asymmetrical shape with high-level of adjustability to accommodate a wide range of foot shapes and volumes.

Pressure Absorbing Fit (PAF) System is an innovative heel system that helps both spread the force of the heel tension and increase the fit of the heel. The Active Rand rubber is interrupted behind the heel to reduce pressure on the achilles tendon and connected with 2mm XS GRIP2 rubber, that works like a bridge and allows full adaption to the shape of the heel while still providing dynamic forward pressure to focus power over the big toe. The holes on the side of the heel indicate the tension applied, which varies between 1 hole for light tension, 2 holes for mid tension and 3 holes for strong tension.

Surround Rubber Tension (SRT) is a layer of Scarpa's ultra-soft M50 rubber that wraps around the forefoot and translates the power directly to the tips of the toes. It also provides maximum friction and sensitivity for toe-hooking. Climbing with soft shoes improves one's climbing style and naturally strengthens toe power. The total freedom of foot placement stimulates a faster and more dynamic movement on rock or plastic.
