Product Info for SIG SAUER Romeo-X Compact Circle Dot FDE Sight SORX1202

The Romeo-X Compact in Flat Dark Earth brings the same core engineering as the rest of the Romeo-X line into an open emitter format with a reticle system built for shooters who want more than a single dot.

With the Circle Dot reticle, you get two selectable aiming options in one optic. Run the 2 MOA dot alone for precision work, switch to the 32 MOA circle for fast close-range acquisition, or use both together. With this flexibility on your side, you can succeed in a range of shooting situations a single-dot optic can’t get a target on.

The housing is the same CNC-machined 7075 aluminum that you know and love from Sig’s higher-end optic lines. Our light and strong design handles the sustained recoil of a pistol slide without flex or shift. The FDE finish matches common earth-tone firearm and accessory colors for shooters running a coordinated setup.

Sig's patent-pending beryllium copper flexure arm is what makes the low deck height possible. The flexure arm allows the Romeo-X to sit closer to the bore than conventional designs. With full co-witness for standard height iron sights, your backup sighting system stays in the picture, literally, without any modification to your irons.

The aspherical glass lens eliminates the edge distortion common in cheaper lenses. What you see through the window is a clean, accurate representation of your target. The open emitter design keeps the package compact and snag-free for carry applications.

With this model, you can aim and fire fast! Motion powers the dot on. Stillness powers it down. Your last brightness setting is stored and restored when the optic wakes up.

This product offers 15 brightness settings that cover the full range from bright daylight down to three night vision-compatible levels.

Battery life runs a minimum of 20,000 hours at medium brightness. The battery loads from the side, and you’ll never have to remove the optic to swap out power.

Assembled in the U.S.A. Gritr Outdoors is an authorized Sig Sauer dealer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Circle Dot reticle and how does it work?

The Circle Dot gives you two aiming references in one optic. The 2 MOA dot is precise enough for measured shots at distance. The 32 MOA circle is fast to acquire at close range. Both are individually selectable, so you run whichever fits the situation, or both together for a combined aiming reference.

What is the beryllium copper flexure arm and why does it matter?

It's Sig's patent-pending mounting system that allows the optic to sit exceptionally close to the slide. Standard mounting systems require more height between the optic body and the rail surface. The flexure arm removes that constraint, giving the Romeo-X one of the lowest deck heights available in a pistol red dot. That low position makes co-witnessing with standard height irons practical without any modification.

Does the open emitter design affect durability?

Open emitter optics leave the LED exposed rather than enclosing it behind a rear glass window. The trade-off is a more compact, lower profile package. For carry and range use, an open emitter performs reliably if your environment involves heavy exposure to dust or debris; a fully enclosed optic offers more protection to the emitter itself.
