ROMEO-X by SIG SAUER isn’t your average reflex sight. It’s designed exclusively for concealed carry handguns — specifically pistols.

Compact Design, Built Tough 

ROMEO-X was created without range-only rigidity in mind. You’ll notice it’s slightly smaller than traditional reflex sights, but don’t mistake that for fragile.

The optic is still built from quality materials: forged aluminum housing and an ultra-durable lens. But the footprint is slimmed down to not interfere with holstering, and the mounting height is kept low so you can still see your iron sights as a backup.

Mounts Direct to Most Popular Carry Handguns 

ROMEO-X is designed for two specific mounting footprints: P365 and Shield RMSc. If your pistol has one of these mounts, you can attach the ROMEO-X directly without buying an adapter.

Leave Your Iron Sights On 

One of the biggest hurdles to adding a reflex sight to a carry gun is losing your iron sights. Many carry guns don’t offer optical mounts without removing the iron sights. Some shooters remove the iron sights from their carry pistols and replace them with optics.

Not so with ROMEO-X. This optic has a low profile, allowing you to see both the ROMEO-X dot and your iron sights at the same time. They co-witness. If your optic fails, you’ll still be able to aim with your iron sights.

Understanding MOTAC 

ROMEO-X features Motion Activated Technology, or MOTAC for short. With MOTAC, the optic sleeps when not in use, conserving battery life. Once you grab your pistol from the holster, the motion sensors activate the red dot.

This advanced technology saves battery, so you never need to worry about your optic dying. Even if you use your pistol daily, MOTAC will significantly extend the battery life of your ROMEO-X.

Changing the Battery 

Aside from never having to change your battery with MOTAC-enabled use, the ROMEO-X simplifies this process too. Most optics use a battery that must be threaded into the bottom. To change it, you have to unscrew the entire optic from your pistol.

ROMEO-X features a side-mounted battery that uses a proprietary cap. Screw it out, replace the battery, screw it back in. Quick, easy, and no tools required. 

How Long Does the Battery Last? 

You’ll rarely need to change the battery under normal carry use. Even set on max brightness, the long-life CR2032 will last 1-2 years. At medium brightness with MOTAC, we’ve seen batteries last over 3 years.

Expect 1+ years of battery life before considering a change. And remember, with MOTAC, you won’t use maximum brightness all the time. Advanced settings like MOTAC are why we love modern optics.

What Size is the Reticle? 

Reticle size is measured in Minute of Angle (MOA). Zeroing your sights will give you an accurate point of aim at your target up to your specific MOA setting.

PIX-4 uses 3 MOA, which means 1 inch on your sight equals 3 inches on your target at 100 yards. For everyday carry, 3 MOA is ideal because it provides precision without sacrificing speed.

3 MOA allows you to: 

• Hit your target accurately out to 25-50 yards
• Draw and shoot quickly 
• See the reticle easily at any brightness level
• Stay fast without picking your reticle off target during rapid fire
