This mount comes standard with a bevel on both sides, making it ambidextrous.

The bolt pattern on Evolution Gun Works' Remington 700 Short Action mount fits Short Action Remington 700 rifles (e.g., 223, 308), as well as the 722 and 40x. Despite common misconceptions, the Remington 700 mount will NOT fit Howa 1500 or Weatherby Vanguard rifles. While the bolt pattern may be similar, the remainder of the mount (ejection port, length, etc.) renders it incompatible with these firearms.

Evolution Gun Works recommends measuring the hole spacing in the receiver to confirm compatibility with the dimensions published.

Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, providing flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount and, in many cases, does not obstruct the use of factory iron sights. Evolution Gun Works' one-piece scope mounts are an obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike.

These mounts are machined in Evolution Gun Works' shop using one of their machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sandblasted, and Type II anodized for long-lasting durability.

Installation: Evolution Gun Works recommends applying 20 inch lbs of torque and a drop of blue Loctite (available separately on their website).
