Flexcut

Flexcut was founded in 1986 under the name Falls Run Woodcarving. Initially, it was a woodcarving shop and woodcarving school. They began producing Flexcut wood carving tools to meet the needs of hobbyists and professionals in 1992. The design of carving tools hasn't changed much since the industrial revolution, however the company keeps up with the time, using modern technologies in manufacture.

Starting with just four different tool profiles, the company now manufactures and sells over three hundred Flexcut carving tools which are designed for the wood carving market. Flexcut continues to add state-of-the-art equipment, focusing on the details.

Flexcut tools are designed with a deep knowledge of carving by those who love to carve wood. Each tool is razor-sharp and ready to use. Flexcut knives can be used for both modest planning tasks and serious wood carving on woods such as lime and oak.

Over the past few years, they have introduced the Flexcut Carving Jack Collection. The carving jack is adaptable enough to be used as a planning tool as well as a serious woodworking tool.  A real Swiss army knife in the world of wood tools!  Every Flexcut carving knife is made from the same steel as flexcut chisels. Flexcut makes blades from 1095 spring steel with a fine grain structure that sharpens beautifully. Blades hardness is about 58-60 HRC, which hold a very sharp edge and are easy to maintain on a strop. 

The convenient carved handle allows you to do wood carving for a long time. Flexcut carving knives use three styles of wood handles according to the use the blade was designed for. Most Flexcut knives can be used with both hands. However, right-handed cutters should choose a right-handed tool to cut towards themselves, or a left-handed tool to cut away from themselves.
