Ski Helmets

Skiing with no helmet doesn’t make you look cool. Fortunately, more and more athletes are becoming aware of this. It is evidenced by the Helmet Safety Statistics of the National Ski Areas Association: the number of responsible skiers and snowboarders wearing head protection has increased from 20% in 2002 to 90% in 2022. We are happy to supply our passionate athletes with the best men’s & women’s ski helmets made by industry experts such as Head, Scott, and others. And if you don’t want to bother with compatibility, check out our ski helmets with visors (aka ski helmets with goggles).

How to choose the best ski helmet?

Choose a preferred build: a more lightweight in-mold helmet or a more durable injection-molded helmet. Pick a design with lots of (adjustable) vents to prevent goggles from fogging. Look for camera mounts, built-in speakers, and detachable components. Check ASTM F2040/CE EN1077 certification.

How to measure for ski helmet?

Position a tape measure around the largest part of your head: above your ears, about one inch above your eyebrows. Consult with the manufacturer’s ski helmet size chart. Shake your head to check if the helmet feels snug. It should not feel tight.

Do I need a MIPS ski helmet?

MIPS technology allows the head to rotate inside the helmet during the moment of impact. It dramatically reduces rotational movements transferred to the brain and relieves some pressure on the neck. If you want maximum protection, MIPS helmets are the best. Conversely, full-face ski helmets are the most dangerous.
