The Root Industries Type R GT is the lightest pro model scooter to date, and is the world's lightest pro scooter for its size. Weighing an astonishing 3.1kgs, with a 5" wide deck and 600mm tall bars, the Type R GT is Root Industries most premium scooter in the Type R range. Designed for riders aged 8 to 14 years.

Packed with some of the most innovative products Root Industries has ever made, the Type R GT features Root Industries famous HMA Aluminium bars, Lotus Wheels, GT clamp, Fractal Grips, Air headset and cold-forged single piece forks.

At 5" wide, and 19.5" long the Type R GT deck is a perfect size for riders looking to improve their park tricks. Cleverly designed to maximise foot space, yet compact enough to prevent flyouts, this deck is the result of years of trial and error from the Root team. The GT deck achieves unrivalled lightness, without compromising on strength thanks to the triple-channel cavity design and the unique use of Magnesium-rich 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy.

Famous HMA bars are made from a Hi-Modulus Alloy, which retains the lightness of regular aluminium, but is 25% stronger. No other scooter bar has this unique characteristic, and now Root Industries has made them available as stock on the Type R GT scooter.

The Lotus wheels are evolved from Honeycore wheels, but use a slightly softer PU compound. Perfect for riders who want more control, the Ultra High Rebound + Grip PU is designed to perform optimally for indoor skateparks and smooth concrete surfaces, where slippery conditions can be a problem. This hybrid wheel retains the speed that make Honeycore wheels so popular, but with a little bit extra grip to help you land more tricks as you progress your skills.

Fractal grips have been designed to redefine what makes the perfect scooter grip. Using unique slow-rebound compound for unbeatable comfort and shock absorption, Root Industries has used AI to design the most efficient shaped grooves to disperse sweat faster, keeping your hands drier for longer. The grips are thinner to further improve overall grip strength. All this to give you the ultimate control and comfort where it matters most.

The stylish and minimal clamp design reduces the weight of the scooter, but provides ultimate clamping strength thanks to the dual high tensile 6mm bolts.
