The Protector Attack LYT 13 GW binding combines the innovative Full Heel Release technology with the lightness and performance of the Attack LYT series. The FHR technology delivers intelligent 180 degrees release, both horizontally and vertically. This technology can lower release values in forward and especially backward twisting fall situations, which reduces the risk of suffering a knee injury.
In addition, the FR LYT toe offers perfect ski boot centering, constant release values and automatic toe height adjustment to adult alpine ski boots (ISO 5355 TYPE A) and adult Walk ski boots (ISO 23223 TYPE A). Thanks to the Attack LYT toe design, the binding is significantly lighter and more compact. Safer binding for freeride!
This hybrid binding has a toe that screws into the ski and a heel on a rail (included). It's meant to reduce pressure on your knees in certain fall scenarios. Bear in mind that the stack height is quite high (but better than in the non-Attack version). Despite the listing title, it actually does come with a break if you pick such version (which is good). Shipping by gritroutdoors was fast, though the fact that they have a different price depending on whether you check out via Amazon or not (it ships from an Amazon fulfillment center anyway) is weird.
